A restless energy and desire to connect with the listener lies at the core of Francis of Delirium, with Jana Bahrich’s personal lyrics being underpinned by an undeniable rock sound that is as liberating as it is intense. Hailed as a Gen Zer excitingly redrawing 90s classic indie rock (unsurprising given her chief collaborator Chris Hewett hails from Seattle and is three decades her senior), a deep admiration for contemporary acts such as Car Seat Headrest, Japanese Breakfast, Mitski, Phoebe Bridgers and Sufjan Stevens is also abundantly clear.

In early Spring Jana flew out to North America to play 26 dates with The Districts plus headline shows at both Shaky Knees and Treefort festivals. Now she’s working towards her debut album and eager to perform again for the local audience who know and love her music.

Francis of Delirium — Mirrors

After being active in several local acts, all rooted in indie music, the three members of Odd’s Ratio now create music reminiscent of the electric discharge of the Washington, D.C. post-hardcore movement (think Engine Down) and the propulsive swagger of San Diego punks Hot Snakes. Their sound is in a constant state of flux, backed by propulsive drums, Fugazi-esque basslines and a tapestry of stereo guitars.
