She has the soul of Nina Simone, the panache of Joni Mitchell and a voice as clear as spring water. Belgium-based singer-songwriter Meskerem Mees transforms her carefully crafted songs into the sweetest ear candy, armed with nothing but her intriguing voice, her acoustic guitar and the cello of her buddy Febe. 

Her melodies burrow their way into your brain while the choruses take up residence in your head and refuse to leave. Need proof? In 2020 her debut single ​‘Joe’ went straight to #1 in Studio Brussel’s chart, and leading foreign music media like Consequence of Sound and FIP Radio were immediately smitten with the talented young woman. 

Her debut album is slated for late 2021 but before that, she’ll go on a club tour that − lucky for us − will stop at Rotondes. Get ready to be obsessed!
