Formed in Brighton Squid is the brainchild of “five young men throwing convention out the window in favour of mad, eclectic, stupidly exciting new noise” (DIY Mag).
Taking into consideration every single idea that anyone presented, they went into the studios with Dan Carey (Fountains D.C., Goat Girl, Black Midi) in the middle of a heatwave and came out with Bright Green Field (2021). “It’s kind of a coming of age record but it’s also a kind of coming to terms album – more around the awareness of the reality that we’re living in,” explains Louis Borlase (guitars, vocals).
