Way Dynamic is the solo project for Melbourne, Australia’s Dylan Young. He writes everything, plays almost every instrument on his albums, and produces them himself alongside long-term collaborator Stefan Blair (Good Morning). He is part of a tight-knit Melbourne community, a chosen family of artists who all play in each other’s bands, record each other’s records, and the live Way Dynamic band is often made up of various configurations of these long-term friends.

On Massive Shoe, the third and most recent record for Way Dynamic, Young explores minimalist folk-pop, art rock and baroque pop, all informed by his restless, playful creative spirit.

Cool Sounds is the key project of Melbourne-based pop polymath Dainis Lacey, backed by a live band that often squeezes six or more musicians onto stage. Across five albums, their shapeshifting indie rock has blended ​’80s pop, cheerful funk, and alt-country – always with a lightness of touch that disguises Lacey’s thoughtful, perceptive songwriting. Their 2025 album, Party Punisher followed the critically acclaimed Like That and retained the same vintage charm, with Lacey’s knack for oddball pop recalling Talking Heads and Paul Simon.
