COLIN STETSON blows that horn like his life would depend on it. Nervous, passionate, his music evokes ancestral rituals mixed with urban song craftsmanship. Born and raised in Ann Arbor, MI, STETSON has done his share of travelling, relocating in Montreal and collecting experiences and ideas to prepare his own unique gumbo. ​“Unique” is the keyword here as noone in contemporary music plays the sax, clarinet, cornet, french horn or flute with such dexterity. Apart from his own releases, ​“New History Warfare Vol. 1 and 2”, he’s become a valuable session musician, recording with demanding acts such as Lou Reed, Feist, TV On The Radio, Laurie Anderson, David Byrne, Sinead O’Connor, LCD Soundsystem, The National and Angelique Kidjo, to name a few. As if all this wasn’t enough, he is now part of the Bon Iver line-up.
