In this workshop for young noisemakers, Daniel Llermaly will show you how to build your own Atari Punk Console and give an introduction to the basic concepts of circuit bending.
The APC is a sound generating device that is quite easy to manipulate: with only two control knobs one can create many low-fi sounds that resemble classic Atari console games from the 1980s. So far, APC’s have been built out of Ikea” bowls, mouse pads and even light bulbs. Daniel has therefore prepared all kinds of special materials so that you can build your unique version of an APC. The workshop will be followed by an improvisation session where participants will be using the APCs they’ve built.
