KREIDLER was formed in Düsseldorf, Germany in 1994. The music that the band plays draws a lot of inspiration and gimmick form underground space disco and krautrock. Klaus Dinger form cult band NEU! was even up for a collabo with the guys, who have recorded 8 LP’s so far. Other celebrities welcoming guestspots include Einstuerzende Neubauten and Depeche Mode. Liking to work under pressure, the band tends to stick to deadlines that will force them to record fast, very fast. One take will shoot, if possible. But, if they can cut a whole album in less than a week, they do admit on editing, mixing and fine-tuning for months. Their latest, «Tank» was rehearsed in Berlin one day, and recorded at one of the musician’s home studio in Hamburg, the next. Multi-layered electronics over pulsating beats pervade the new album, proving that the band knows where it is going, wasting no time dabbling in uncharted territory.
