Butterscotch Hawaiian is the soundtrack of a young generation fully embracing the return of psychedelia. Inspiration spans from the mid 60’s to the early 90’s, so much that, judging from the sound, they could easily have toured with the Grateful Dead or have been roommates with the Brian Jonestown Massacre. But no, this is as brand new a band as 2016 can give you. The Wise Dude’s Revolver are disciples of reverb driven and hypnotical psychedelic sound. The band happily drifts fom folk to shoegaze, without ever losing the catchiness of well crafted songs. After a first EP in 2013 and a slot of gigs throughout France, they are floating high off their latest EP entitled Here The Sun (2015). The Kooters are a young band that re-interpret the psychedelic vibe mixed with a fresh indie touch and a pure youthful energy. The 4 young musicians provide psyched gigs with a lush atmosphere, accessible for dreamers, erratics and other more jittery folk. Jamhed will make you dizzy with their brew of psychedelic groves and elaborate arrangements. This is a band that one minute draws off self-reflection and even melancholia, and then the next, creates guitarladen and synth heavy soundblasts. They call called psychedelic atmo-pop, deeply rooted in the 60’s, but forward thinking.
