OXOMATRIE, FR, 2014, Dir.: Joyce (French original, English subtitles)
OXOMATRIE or the creation of feelings tells a story of numerous female characters who allow themselves to express their feelings towards each other, beyond all forms of oppression. A mad occasion in Place Vendôme in Paris, using cars for sleeping, an intrusion of a hearing-impaired state agent, the breath of unchained flights by visual, fluid and struck metaphors, a body with several members, poetic and political run-ups, a child rescued from abuse…All characters embody their own ideas, sometimes contradictory and sometimes coexistent with one another. They could be elusive, and are all deeply human, casting off in any unsatisfactory situation. “Moving from one dream to another,” as one of them says…in a journey of several characters that drift over time.
The film will be preceded by a short description by the director Joyce, assistant and actress cil and actress Christine Garnier. After the film there will be music, with the bar being open until midnight.
