In its 8th edition, the 2024 Light Leaks Festival, celebrates the visions of documentary and street photographers emphasizing their perspectives on reality woven into their own personal narrative.
This year’s international guest speakers are Bieke Depoorter, Michael Ackerman, and Nikita Teryoshin.
Beyond the conferences you can immerse yourself into the world of street photography with our indoor exhibit featuring local talent, an international street photography collective, members of the Luxembourg Streetphoto Collective and photography students from local high schools. Among the students a young talent award will be granted to the most outstanding work.
An outdoor exhibit featuring the internationally recognized series “Nothing personal” by Nikita Teryoshin will be displayed in the courtyard of Rotondes.
The Light Leaks Festival addresses again the educational angle by offering a variety of workshops from a beginner street photo workshop to analogue photography to the legal aspects of street photography. The renowned Michael Ackerman will give a master class.
The festival is also a place for exchange. You will find a gear and print market on site and a local book store presents its finest selections of photography books. Everyone can participate in our Light Leaks bazaar and sell prints and zines.
Again in 2024, the Light Leaks Festival is a platform for everyone. The open wall contest gives you an opportunity to show your work and win a prize.
