Originally begun as a duo between childhood friends Marisa Dabice and Thanasi Paul, Mannequin Pussy are now a quartet with Kaleen Reading on drums and Colins Regisford on bass. Clocking in at less than 20 minutes, their sophomore full-length Romantic was a perfect example of “all killer, no filler”, as the band shifted seamlessly back and forth between sharp pop hooks and punk rock numbers filled with fury. Their latest album, Patience, is described as “one of the year’s most intense rock statements” by Rolling Stone and we’re pretty sure it’ll be just as intense on stage. But first the evening will start with Luxembourg band Versus You. Their punk rock is desperate and brave, ultra catchy and honest to the bones.
