While the festival crowds are busy having a good time at the Francofolies, the pros remain on the clock, scouting for the next big thing. Rotondes is treating a handful of them, hailing from the Greater Region and beyond, to an exclusive showcase by one of Luxembourg’s finest, First Mote.
Following years of pre-pubescent garage jams digging into the heavy riffs of Soul Sacrifice, TNT, and Little Wing, Jamie Reinert and Christophe Demart finally got round to putting their sound on tape under the First Mote moniker. It’s taken them a solid 20 years, but don’t be fooled : their instrumental chemistry is as rough as ever. A baritone electric guitar and drums are at the centre of the project, mostly because neither Reinert nor Demart has the courage to sing.
