NATAS LOVES YOU
After playing a lot of shows during the fall of 2011, Natas Loves You took some time to write new songs and to work on their video (released in February 2012). In May, they are going to London to record parts of their concept album on which they have been working for a quite some time now. “The Eighth Continent” tells the tale of a character who leaves the madness of the modern city to find answers to his existential questions.
The titles “light as air” , “golden fog” , “skip stones” , “gold and copper” describe both the uneasiness in which the digital Man lives and the dreams in which he escapes .
The singles Gold and copper and Light as air are to be released digitally in the spring.
The concept of the Eight Continent is the search of a space where we could forget about our past, and find a new balance.
LUMI You may have heard them on Eldoradio recently as they keep on climbing the charts (don’t forget to vote ! eldo.lu/music/chartbreaker)
Their single “Curtains “, is only a minor proof of Lumi’s creative force. Led by Jussi Jaatinen on guitar Edwin Van Veen on drums, and Christy Frieden on vocals, their album “Cycles” is a beautiful first release.
At times flirting with disco pop or power pop with the singles “Curtains” and “Cold storm”, they have a habit to always mix just the right amount of mellow verses, strong choruses and pounding drumbeats. And when they get more quiet, it’s to create beautiful symphonies like “Celebration of Elysian Heights”.
Joined on stage by Antoine Honorez and Julius Jaatinen , the result is stunning . Don’t miss another chance to see them at CarréRotondes !
KIM Kim is a hyperactive french songwriter, he started releasing antifolk and noise albums in the nineties. The multi — instrumentalist composer has been a busy bee for the past fifteen years , if you thought that bands nowadays only release 5 albums and then died out , think again .
Kim is now at his nineteenth album , Radio lee doo (deezer.com) is the 3rd opus of a trilogy that started in 2008 (Mary Lee Doo , Don Lee Doo , Radio Lee Doo) .
In this last act, Kim unveils his ability to draw inspiration from his impressive musical culture, and turn it into something you have never heard. It’s as if he had digested half a century of music and turned it into a modern pop that everybody can relate to.
Live, Kim is unpredictable, sometimes with a band, sometimes solo, he changes his songs as he pleases, and serves them with a punk energy. And when he’s not working on his project, he is collaborating with artists like Yuksek , Dyonysos or Olivia Ruiz . We are glad to host his first show in Luxembourg, look out for KIM !
