In this three-hour workshop destined to experienced musicians who are interested in electronic and electro acoustic music and who are willing to improvise with others, participants will have the opportunity to play together with To Rococo Rot’s own Robert Lippok. Robert will be conducting different improvisation sessions during which the participant musicians are creating various sound sculptures that can range from quiet hisses to massive walls of noise. One of the main aims of the workshop is to stimulate the participants’ capacity of reaction with their instruments and to enhance their listening skills while playing with others. All sessions will be recorded and every participant will get his/her own CD at the end.
At the beginning of the workshop, Robert will introduce his work and his way of music production. The participants will also be able to try out the Ableton Push Hardware, learn some aspects of Ableton Live 9 and of Max for live plugins such as Vizzable.
The workshop is open to any kind of acoustic, electronic or amplified instrument. Participants can therefore bring their instrument(s) and an amplifier if needed.
