THE CHOPPY BUMPY PEACHES is a young Space Rock / Neo-Psychedelic band from Luxembourg. The band formed in 2014 and since then released an EP in 2016 called ‘Melocoton’ which got them support gigs for Blues Pills at Den Atelier, Gringo Star and (SANDY) Alex G, as well as festival appearences at the Fete de la musique Dudelange and Luxembourg’s hippest comeback festival, the FoodForYourSenses.
In 2017 the 6 piece group started recording their first LP, together once again with sound guru Tom Gatti behind the magic desk. Two recording sessions in summer and autumn spawned 10 songs that will take the listener on an odyssey into the sonic unknown.
‘Sgt. Konfuzius & the Flowers of Venus’ is its own symbiosis of fuzzy guitars, hallucinating keyboards, ritual-like drums and haunting vocals. Combining influences from the great era of Psychedelic and Space Rock like Pink Floyd with modern eastern Krautrock bands like Kikagaku Moyo, the Peaches created their own vision of Space Rock with their new LP.
