déi aner is delighted to invite everyone to their Zine Launch party, as they celebrate their three-years anniversary.

On the 24th of April, after three years of publishing their stories and articles online, they will release the first edition of their print zine, dedicated to the theme of metamorphosis. It will include iconic articles that have already been published, as well as new articles on many important striking topics. It also features various local creatives to platform the many talents originating from Luxembourg, and many more surprises!

déi aner believe in the power of bringing people together by highlighting marginalized stories and in the importance of giving those who are outside of the mainstream the opportunity to shine and showcase their gifts.

Come to this zine launch party to discover local creatives brought together in a market, practice activist crafts, get a new tattoo, and see talented musicians and DJs perform!

« We are the others, the excluded, the alternative, the queers. We are déi aner. »

Artists

Leire de Meer is a visual artist and performer whose practice focuses on the ability that fiction has to alter materiality. Through performance, video, participatory art and the creation of artistic communities they explore questions around queer embodiment, monstrous bodies, and grief.

Currently, they are in Luxembourg for a one-year internship at the Rainbow Center where Leire is working as a curator for MINHA QUERIDA, a photography exhibition of Brazilian artist Nuria R. Gomes, as well as a facilitator of THEN, THERE & THEM, a collaborative artistic project in collaboration with the Lëtzebuerg City Museum.

K.leo.patra is a DJ from Luxembourg whose sound was shaped by the vibrant Berlin club scene, where open floors, diverse crowds and genre-blending nights left a lasting mark.

Collecting records since 2019, K.leo.patra crafts sets guided by feeling, energy and atmosphere rather than strict genre boundaries – moving from chill, soul-inspired R’n’B and house to funky, acid, ghetto and techno sounds.

Unconventional soundscapes, piercing percussion, introspective lyricism and Lo-Fi production are at the core of ÆMʼs experimental pop sound. Inspired by artists who carve unique sonic identities like FKA Twigs and Imogen Heap, ÆM curiously uncovers her thoughts and feelings through sound design and storytelling. Winner of the Screaming Fields song contest and SACEM prize for best composition, she went on to open for Cavetown and Novo Amor.

Born in Almada, Portugal and raised among Luxembourgʼs international population, the artistʼs cultural roots allow for the mixing of the romantic, expressive Portuguese fado with contemporary pop. ÆM reflects the reality of many immigrants who dance between more than one culture and language, in turn creating their own identity, distinctly different but undoubtedly attached to their origins.

Khalid Oke has always felt a sense of home in Luxembourg, ever since settling here from Nigeria at the age of eight in 2008. Though his musical journey started in a church choir in Nigeria, it wasn’t until moving to Luxembourg that he properly developed his melodic pop universe. He started to take music more seriously in 2017, setting the stage for his current musical project, Oke.

Since then, Oke has released over 35 songs, breaking several barriers as a local independent artist, and has now become one of the most streamed artists from Luxembourg (with over 4 million Spotify streams in the past 12 months alone). Oke has worked with international labels like Sony Music, Soave, PARAISO, and Universal, signed a publishing deal with Downtown Music Publishing Africa, and received extensive national coverage across media like RTL, ELDO’s Chartbreaker, Radio ARA, Radio Latina, and Culture.lu.

Music is my one true love. Growing up in Luxembourg, it has been a constant force in my life, translating how I feel, how I move, and how I make sense of the world. Through music, I connect to my emotions, express myself physically, and find a space that feels both personal and political.

For me, being a DJane means creating moments where sound dissolves the distance between thought and feeling, where messages become physical, where rhythm travels through your body, your skin, your breath, your senses.

Every set is a story. A story of Africa and its diaspora, of resilience and the power of sound and rhythm to overcome oppression. I highlight and celebrate inspiring FLINTA artists from Cabo Verde and the wider diaspora. I’m inviting you to connect, to feel, and to move through music.”

Yoni is a musicologist, event manager and radio journalist in classical music. Her academic research into the essence of music, combined with her work at 100,7 and her African-Indian roots deeply influenced her artistic identity. The result is a distinctive sound design she describes as éclectique électronique.

Her DJ sets are shaped by polyrhythmic, bass-driven Afro and Organic House while remaining open to exploration across Techno, Classic House and Downtempo. She began DJing during the pandemic, a risk that proved worthwhile. She quickly established herself within North Germany’s underground scene before expanding to clubs and festivals in Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium.

She has performed at Kolla and Opdakopp Festival, Rocas, Melusina and Mirador (LU); Stellwerk and Gängeviertel in Hamburg, Mauerpfeiffer in Saarbrücken and Funkloch Festival (DE); as well as La Nature Festival (BE). Yoni is a member of the Luxembourgish artist collective Gebees Houeren, where she primarily curates immersive sonic journeys for slower sets and chill-out spaces.
