Hendrik Weber a.k.a. Pantha du Prince once lived in the same woods as those in which the Grimm’s Fairy Tales were set, which might explain the strange and magical atmosphere found in much of his music. On Conference of Trees, his latest album, with nature playing a central role in his personal and creative well-being, Weber has decided to give voice to the symbols of life that are trees.
“Spending so much time in front of the computer and working with electronic machines started feeling bleak,” he says. Curious as to what trees sound like when they communicate, the electronic music producer started working with wood instruments to explore their sound characteristics. Conference of Trees is the result of this experiment, a true “act of contemplation”.
